BECOMING A MEMBER
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old to register for membership. All persons under 18, whether accompanied or not, will be refused entry to the premises.
- Applicants must register using the online portal by filling out the registration form and online account details. New member registration will not be undertaken over the phone, by email or social media.
- Upon registration, you will be granted access to the portal once the membership fees are paid in full. This also begins your membership contract period.
- The Muscle Factory implements a strict cap on membership numbers. New members will only be accepted if there are available slots.
- If you are unable to secure a membership, you have the option to be placed on the waiting list, and will be offered a membership should one become available.
- Memberships offered via the waiting list are held for 24 hours, after which they will be passed to the next waiting person.
- Membership fees must be paid upfront at the start of membership.
- Standard Membership is only offered in 1, 6, or 12 month durations, and is limited to 300 members.
- Premium membership is only offered in 12 or 18 month durations, and is limited to 200 members.
- The Muscle Factory offers day passes which allow for one gym visit within a 24-hour period. These can ONLY be requested via this website and are emailled to you after registration. These passes will only allow access to the gym floor. Group classes and online portal access are not included.
- Personal training is not included in the membership fees, personal training fees may vary and are paid directly to the trainer. Personal training on site may only be undertaken with a member of the Muscle Factory staff.
- The Muscle Factory reserves the right to refuse service to any individual or entity at its sole discretion. This includes the right to refuse service based on any factor deemed relevant by The Muscle Factory.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Please use your own keycard when visiting the gym. Do not share your keycard with others.
- Please do not allow non-members access to the gym, the premises are monitored by CCTV and any unauthorised entry using your keycard will result in termination of membership.
- Any lost keycards must be returned to the reception as soon as possible.
- New members are strongly advised, but not required, to undertake an induction session from a qualified member of the Muscle Factory staff to ensure safe and proper use of the facilities.
- As a courtesy to other members, please carry a towel to wipe down equipment after use. Towels are provided at the reception and must be returned before leaving.
- Real beasts return their weights. Please return equipment back to its proper place when finished, failure to do so repeatedly will result in termination of your membership.
- For safety reasons, please do not remove equipment from its designated floor. Doing this may damage facilities or cause injury and will result in termination of your membership.
- The gym is a place of sharp focus. As a courtesy to other members, please do not use mobile phones in the gym area except for tracking your workout and/or listening to music. We recommend you make use of the "Do Not Disturb" feature on mobile phones while working out. If you must answer a call, text or email, please do it in the locker rooms or the reception area.
- Please wear proper attire when using the facilities. Jeans, sandals, work wear, thobes and abayas are not permitted. Failure to comply will result in being asked to leave the gym.
- Do not behave in an aggressive, abusive, anti-social or threatening manner to staff or other members. Anyone doing so will have their membership terminated. The Muscle Factory reserves the right to contact relevant authorities if necessary.
- Only Muscle Factory coaches and PTs are permitted to train members in the gym unless granted express permission in writing from the proprietor. Anyone undertaking members training will be asked to leave the gym immediately.
- Members are solely responsible for their own belongings while visiting the gym. The Muscle Factory accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage of personal property.
- If you are unsure about a piece of equipment, please ask a staff member for assistance. The Muscle Factory accepts no responsibility for any injury that may occur as a result of improper use of equipment.
- Please report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to a member of staff as soon as possible.
- Lockers are only to be used for the duration of your workout. Lockers are emptied at closing time and any items left behind will be disposed of.
- All personal belongings must be placed in a locker and locked. Do not leave any gym bags, belts, straps, bottles, towels etc. around the gym floor or the locker rooms. Any personal belongings found outside lockers will be considered garbage and disposed of.
- No food or drinks are allowed at any time on the gym floor. Breaching this rule will result in termination of membership.
- Members must inform The Muscle Factory of any changes to contact details. Changes can be made in the profile section of the online portal.
- Smoking and the use of e-cigarettes is prohibited in all areas of the gym. Breaching this rule will result in termination of membership with immediate effect.
- Emergency exits are for emergencies only. Improper use or obstruction will result in termination of membership.
- You may not use the gym whilst under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or any medication that may interfere with your ability to exercise safely. The Muscle Factory reserves the right to remove you from the premises if it believes you are unfit to use the facilities safely.
- Children and adolescents under the age of 18 are not permitted to enter the gym. Any under-18s, accompanied or not, will be refused entry and asked to leave.
BOOKING CLASSES
- You can book and cancel your classes by visiting the online portal. The booking system opens on Saturday and closes at 23:59 the day before your class is scheduled.
- Bookings can be made on this website ONLY. We DO NOT accept bookings over the phone, via email, WhatsApp, or social media.
- You must have a valid booking made on the website to attend a class. Walk-ins are not permitted.
- Before your class starts, you must check in by tapping your keycard on the reader at the studio. This lets the system know you have attended your class. Check-in opens 15 minutes before and closes at the start time, after which you may not enter the studio and will be marked absent.
- If you fail to arrive on time, or fail to check in, your booking will be considered absent, and this will be logged on your account. After three absences you will be banned from booking classes for one month. You can still use the rest of the gym at this time.
- We offer Ladies-only classes throughout the week, these are marked with a pink ribbon on the class booking page and are open to female members only.
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
- All Premium members are part of the Muscle Factory rewards programme. Where you can earn rewards for staying active here. More information can be found on the Rewards section of the online portal.
- You can redeem a reward using the Rewards section of the online portal. Once a reward is chosen, your purchase will be confirmed via email and, if applicable, you will receive a unique QR code to present to staff to use your reward.
- Rewards such as an additional freeze period or guest passes will be added to your account automatically, and will be ready for you to use immediately.
- To use a guest pass, please see the reception on arrival and provide the guest's details to staff before you enter the gym. Guests will not be admitted unless accompanied by the member holding the pass.
- Guest passes only provide access to the gym area. Guests cannot attend any group classes.
- Premium members are given access to the on-site car park. You will be given a keycard at the start of your membership and will use this to access the car park.
- The underground car park is for use by Premium members only. Do not use your keycard to allow unauthorised access to the car park. Doing so will result in termination of membership.
- Please park responsibly. Only park in designated areas and fill ONE space only. No double-parking, reserving spaces, blocking of access routes or obstructing emergency exits. Offenders will have their membership terminated.
- If you would like to freeze your membership, just head to the profile section of the online portal, and click on Freeze Membership. Your membership will be immediately frozen for 30 days and your contract end date will be automatically updated to reflect this change.
